Eyeshadow Primers: Review & Swatches 4/12/14

Eyeshadow Primers: Review & Swatches 4/12/14

I had a request to do a video all about eyeshadow primers. I hope this is helpful to you all and addresses some questions you may have.

REVIEW:
#1. Urban Decay Primer Potions ($20).
Comes in 4 colors, all of which can be used under any eyeshadow:
• Original (Clear)
• Eden (Matte Nude)
• Greed (Gold Shimmer)
• Sin (Champagne shimmer)
- Blends easily
- Doesn't crease/smudge
- Eyeshadow lasts all day (10+hrs) may vary depending on eyeshadow quality
- Comes in convenient, easy to squeeze tube

#2. Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper ($20)
- Waxy texture really make colors pop
- Works great for loose & mineral eyeshadows
- Blends easily
- Eyeshadow lasts all day (5+hrs) may vary depending on eyeshadow quality
- Comes in convenient, easy to squeeze tube
- Tends to crease after 8+ hrs (I have oily lids)

#3. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hour (apx. $7)
- Comes in A LOT of different colors
- Blends pretty easily
- Doesn't crease/smudge
- Eyeshadow lasts all day (10+hrs) may vary depending on eyeshadow quality

#4. Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance ($20) - comparable to Urban Decay
Comes in 3 colors, all of which can be used under any eyeshadow.
• Original (Clear)
• Candlelight (Golden sheen)
• Champagne (shimmering champagne)
- Blend easily
- Eyeshadow lasts all day (10+hrs) may vary depending on eyeshadow quality
- Comes in convenient, easy to squeeze tube

#5. ELF eyelid primers
Comes in 3 colors: Clear, Champagne &  Pearl
I'm not crazy about this one but it's good for only being $1. From my experience they do tend to crease a little after a few hours and don't last as long but good for a small budget.
